Design a title sequence inspired by Greek mythology.

My series named 'Grassborn' is inspired by the stories of Pegasus. The story is about the untameable and godly image of the "beast". My R-rated take is about ants being terrorised by the "Skysplitter"/beast aka a robot lawnmower.

Inspired by the works of Genndy Tartakovsky and early 2000's animated series. I never used the parallax effect before in After Effects. Started with a moodboard in Procreate. From these sketches i would make my first styleframes. By creating a workflow in which I would have the camera movements worked out first. Making animatics gave me a better understanding how the whole picture would turn out. This project is where I learned the most en saw the most exponential growth. New technics en workflows that grew my love for design even more.

Grassborn was selected for the WE ARE THE NEXT GENERATION Exhibition 2025 and was showcased during the WONDER Creativity Festival 2025, where it was presented alongside a selection of other student work.
