Spppreken mag is a audiovisual installation that translates the cognitive, emotional and physical experience to non-stuttering people.

Starting from my own experience as a person who stutters. I wanted to bring design and the mental aspect of stuttering together. Interviewing fellow stutterers and learning from their experiences. I implemented their stutters into typedesign.

The installation extends beyond its audiovisual components to incorporate spatial design as an integral part of the experience. The mirrors confront viewers with their own reflection, while the typographic stickers represent the internal thoughts and emotions often experienced by people who stutter.

Designing the stutter effects in Ableton Live gave me complete creative flexibility, allowing each visitor's experience to be unique. I then automated these effects using the TDAbleton plugin in TouchDesigner, enabling the installation to respond dynamically in real time.
